What we collect

• Account details: name, email, password (stored encrypted), and whether you're a client or creative.
• Profile details you choose to add: photo, company, logo, bio, skills, location, links and portfolio.
• Activity: briefs, applications, messages, ratings and reports.

Why we use it

• To run the marketplace — show briefs, match creatives, and let you hire and communicate.
• To send notifications about your briefs and applications.
• To keep BriefIt safe — investigate reports and prevent fraud.

Who can see it

• Public: creative profiles, portfolios, reviews, published briefs and company names.
• Private: your email, phone, messages and reports. Messages are only visible to the two people in the conversation, and to moderators when a message is reported.
• We never sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal information except what we must keep by law or to resolve an open dispute.

Your rights

Under Botswana's Data Protection Act, you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. Most details can be changed in Settings; for anything else, contact us.

Security

Data is stored with access controls and encrypted connections. No system is perfect, so please use a strong password and report anything suspicious.
